Roblox Voice Chat Not Working: Eligibility vs. Microphone

First decide whether the account lacks voice access or the device can't capture sound. The fixes are different.

Before you start

Use the official Roblox account and keep passwords, one-time codes, gift-card PINs, and full payment details off third-party sites.

What to check, in order

  1. 1

Check Roblox's current voice eligibility and the account's communication settings. Try an experience that supports voice.

  2. 2

If the voice option exists, inspect mute, input device, app permission, and operating-system microphone settings.

  3. 3

Restart Roblox after changing permissions. If the feature is absent, check parent and age-check requirements instead of reinstalling repeatedly.

One important limit

Never enter a password on a site claiming it can unlock voice chat.

Continue on an official screen

Use the linked Roblox or payment-provider page to confirm the current options. If you contact support, describe what happened and the checks you have already tried.
